Steve Way has been a long-time stand-up, motivational speaker, and an advocate for disability rights and universal healthcare. In addition to his memorable performance in the award-winning Hulu comedy, Ramy, he re-teamed with friend and creative collaborator, Ramy Youssef, alongside Judd Apatow, Universal TV, and A24, on Dystrophia, a new TV project loosely inspired by Way’s experiences living with muscular dystrophy. The half-hour series delves into the challenges of being a young man while navigating family dynamics, romance, and the complex bureaucratic healthcare system.
