Research Grant Award for Collagen VI

Cure CMD is thrilled to announce the 2018-2019 International Research Grant Award for Collagen VI-CMD! Dr. Stefano Squarzoni: two years of funding for his project "Exploring the involvement of COLVI-NG2 axis in the generation of contractures affecting UCMD patients." We are so excited to fund this project, a direct result of a dialogue shared between researchers and affected individuals at the International Conference on Collagen VI Disorders last year. Two Research Grant Awards for LAMA2

Cure CMD is thrilled to announce the 2018-2019 International Research Grant Awards for LAMA2-CMD! Research projects focused on LAMA2 have been awarded to: Prof. Francesco Muntoni for one year of funding to explore the role of modifier genes in a mild MDC1A case associated with a loss of function mutation. AND Prof. Markus Ruegg for one year of funding to explore the efficiency for the treatment of LAMA2-CMD using linker proteins after disease onset. Congratulations to the researchers!
